Online Distance Learning

MMCT is affiliated with JED New Media Inc. and the College of Nyiregyház in offering online distance learning courses covering a range of business and workplace skills.

Companies and individuals are continually learning new skills and upgrading their knowledge to keep up with rapid technological advances and the demands of globalisation.

Distance and e-learning programs have become vital tools for knowledge workers. E learning programs make it possible for more people to reach their educational and training goals without having to provide the resources necessary in a live classroom environment. For many companies it is an inexpensive and efficient method to keep their workers knowledgeable, particularly large organisations with multiple operations in different regional centres. Individuals have the flexibility of being able to study when they want to or need to.

“E-learning is really a channel, a way of reaching learners;
  not face-to-face, not through books or video, but online.”

MMCT through JED New Media offers a catalogue of over 200 soft skill e-learning courses on the JEDlet.com website. JEDlets are engaging e-learning tutorials that can be completed at the user’s convenience. Information retention is facilitated through the use of audio and graphics along with practical examples and exercises that relate to everyday experience. Interactive checkpoints and games ensure successful course completion. To sign up or for more information on JEDlet courses follow the JEDlet.com link.

MMCT and JED New Media assist schools and companies in the development, implementation and support of online training courses. We can convert your classical training materials or prepare new ones to meet your needs.

MMCT and the College of Nyíregyház are working together to developing Hungarian JEDlet courses. The College has licensed a number of JEDlet courses appropriate for their students; together we have translated all the course materials. Students sign up and log in to the courses through the College’s website.

MMCT and the College of Nyíregyház are in the process of translating JEDlet’s Frolicking with Phonics, a phonetics course designed to accelerate the ability to read and speak English. As a test pilot the course instructions have been translated into Hungarian and Frolicking with Phonics will be added to the curriculum in September 2006 under the guidance of an English language instructor. The results will be monitored closely.

“Put it before them briefly so they will read it,
  clearly so they will appreciate it,
  picturesquely so they will remember it and,
  above all, accurately so they will be guided by its light.”
  Joseph Pulitzer (1847-1911)
